I took a little stroll down memory lane the other day. I thought a lot about this little girl and how she is growing into a beautiful little lady. This picture was taken around the time Asher was born. One memory will forever stay in my mind... when Astrid was helping me change Asher's diaper, the plasty bell from Asher's circumcision fell off. I was so scared that something was wrong that I looked at Astrid and said "Go get Grammy." She ran off and two seconds later came running in and said "She's coming, she's coming." I am so thankful that she is so willing to help me when I am in need of help. Also, the other day Sarilu and I were talking about Jack and Jake (the dogs)... about a month ago Jack and Jake got out of the house and Jake ended up on Austin Bluffs and Union, a very busy street, people got out of their cars and picked Jake up and took him to the pound. While we were talking about this Sarilu said "I know that the reason why these dogs are so protected is because Astrid is continuously praying for them." I never even thought about that but it is so true. I know that because of her faith in our Father in Heaven she knows He will keep them safe. I feel so blessed that I have been able to be apart of this little girls life and I am able to watch her grow. She has changed lives and she doesn't even know it.

FOOD TIME!

Asher is eating solids!!!!!!!!!!.... kinda! It was so funny to watch him eat his rice cereal. He looked at me with this disgusted look on his face and I am pretty sure half of his food ended up on his hands and bib. I love watching him develop and I am enjoying all of the different stages of his life. What a blessing he is to us.
Asher and Grampie :)
Marcos wanted to make the same face Asher was making

Fall Time!

My mom grew pumpkins in her garden this year. She hasn't grown pumpkins in a couple years so she was pretty excited about this batch and that Asher would be able to pick a pumpkin. As you can see he wasn't too sure about these things called pumpkins especially the green one.

Three Months Old!!! These have been the best three months of my life. I am so thankful to have Asher here and to have him as my son. He has been such a blessing to Lex and I, he's amazing. It is so much fun to watch him continue to develop. When we talk he will find our faces and stares at us, usually with a smile. Seeing that smile every day is amazing. He likes to play with his feet (when he finds them) and he LOVES looking at all the different colors and shapes of this blanket. Thank you Aunt Jasmine ;) He is able to hold his head up for the most part but he is still working on holding up his upper body. He loves to wake up early in the morning and when he sees that Lex and I are awake he gets this big smile on his smile and let's out a scream. He is talking like crazy, well baby talk, it is funny to listen to him. He is a baby that likes movement, if you're not moving he will let you know he is not happy and the minute you stand up silence (that's our fault we never put him down). He is absolutely everything we could have ever wanted and more!

Our First Adventure!

Beautiful 11 Mile!

This scary ant was crawling by Asher while we were taking pictures... Good thing it didn't get too close!
Cute little hat :)
This was at the end of the day! he was very sleepy :)

His hat finally fits him we have been waiting!

SMILES!

He loves when Grammie Yaya sings the HukiLau to him :)
And he loves when Uncle Marcos sings to him too :)
LOVE THIS PICTURE!

2 MONTHS OLD

He's two months old now! He's growing so fast I can't believe it. We had our doctor's appointment for shots :( it was rough for Asher and for mom but we both got threw it just fine. He now weighs 11 lbs 9 oz... He has gained 3 1/2 lbs in 4 weeks... so as you can see breast feeding is going great!

He's already a month old I can't believe it. I love watching this little man grow! He is definitely getting his own personality and I love trying to figure him out. I know that if he's tired he wants me, if he wants to be entertained he wants his dad. But ninety percent of the time he has this beautiful smile on his face. Now that he is here I couldn't imagine my life without him. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father has given us this perfect little angel to take care of. We love him so much!

Lately....

The final stretch.. 35 weeks and counting.. I feel very big and very tired. I have definitely had my meltdowns here and there. My brain and my body are fighting with each other. My brain tells me I can still hike up hills and do all the things i did before and my body is telling me no with pretty intense contractions and swollen ankles. Also, these past couple of weeks i have really put on the pounds almost all of my clothes don't fit. My legs look massive and all of my shirts are too short and my lower belly shows. Sweat pants and tank tops are my best friend :)
My first mother's day and Lex made it a wonderful one. He has meetings all morning at church so when he leaves i usually get up and get in the shower. When I got out I found these beautiful flowers and such a sweet card he wrote for me. I sat on my bed in my towel and read the card, it was such a beautiful card and made all of my worries and stresses melt away. My in laws also bought me a card and a very beautiful bracelet. Mother's Day was so great!

All set up for my little man. Putting this stuff together was so fun!
These babies must know something is going on. Today Jack has followed me around everywhere and if I am sitting on a chair or anywhere for that matter Jack jumps on my lap and puts his face on my shoulder. They both are attached to my hip... I don't know what they are going to do when the baby is here.
My cake from my baby shower. Unfortunately, this is the only picture i have from my baby shower. I guess this was the most exciting thing to me :) It was delicious and the shower was amazing!

This makes me want to have him here that much more....

I could look at these pics all day... Actually I am pretty sure I have! I just love his little face, those lips are to die for, he is just so precious. I was so afraid that he was going to be in a position where we weren't going to be able to see him and i couldn't really feel him moving when we showed up but while we were in the room Elaine(our ultrasound tech) was kind of moving him around to kind of wake him up. In a couple of pictures he would have a little frown on his face, poor baby. Sure enough she got him to wake up and he was definitely awake. He was kicking a punching, Elaine would kind of laugh because he would kick so hard so could feel it while taking the pics. Also, his hands would only leave his face for a few seconds and if they weren't in the way his umbilical cord was. I loved seeing him and it just makes it more real to me that in 3 months our little man will be here. I can't wait to hold him and kiss his little lips!! It's crazy how much you can love someone that you haven't even met yet.
